Founded in 1986, Tiem Builders Ltd. is a family-owned and operated company with a longstanding reputation for quality craftsmanship and innovative design in the Lower Mainland. With deep roots in the community, Tiem Builders has continuously evolved to meet the changing needs of homeowners, businesses, and industry professionals.
Originally led by Garry Tiemstra as President and Gord Tiemstra as Vice President of Operations, the company has always been driven by a commitment to excellence and innovation. Following Garry’s retirement in 2022, his son James Tiemstra has taken on a General Manager role, working alongside Gord to carry forward the company’s tradition of leadership and expertise.
For over three decades, Tiem Builders has been the exclusive supplier of Four Seasons Sunrooms in the region, specializing in the design and construction of sunrooms, solariums, conservatories, and home additions. As outdoor living spaces have evolved, so too have client expectations—demanding greater flexibility, functionality, and design diversity. In response, Tiem Builders has positioned itself at the forefront of this transformation, masterfully designing and creating Adaptable Living Spaces and Outdoor Living Spaces using state-of-the-art systems that we exclusively represent.

Gord Tiemstra
Gord Tiemstra serves as the Vice President of Operations at Tiem Builders Ltd., a family-owned company based in the Lower Mainland since 1986. Alongside his brother, Garry Tiemstra, Gord co-founded the company, which has become the exclusive supplier of Four Seasons Sunrooms in the Vancouver area.
Under their leadership, Tiem Builders has completed thousands of residential and commercial projects, specializing in sunrooms, solariums, conservatories, and adaptable outdoor living spaces.
In 2022, following Garry’s retirement, Gord continued to lead the company, now working closely with his nephew James Tiemstra, who has assumed the role of General Manager. Together, they uphold the company’s commitment to quality craftsmanship and innovative design.
Gord’s has dedication to building excellence coupled with an innate ability in truly understanding all aspects of quality construction. He been recognized within the industry and his peer group numerous times. Often being called upon to share his vast experience with his colleagues.
Notably, he received two top awards at the Four Seasons Sunrooms annual conference, highlighting his contributions to the field.
Under Gord’s operational leadership, Tiem Builders continues to expand its services, offering a diverse range of products, including patio covers, pergolas, energy-efficient windows, and doors.
The company’s focus on integrating state-of-the-art technology with high-quality materials has solidified its reputation as an industry leader in all sectors.

James Tiemstra serves as the General Manager at Tiem Builders Ltd. Following the retirement of his father, Garry Tiemstra, in 2020, James assumed this leadership role.
With experience and business acumen way beyond his years James has adopted and adapted to his new role seamlessly with full support from the full team of long-term employees.
Being a family business it was crucial that he understood with construction intimately and the client base within niche industry Tiem Builder’s was in. Having said that James was on the tools for many years to ensure he could keep the standard of excellence and commitment to ‘Building the Best’.
James truly felt that this was only part on the equation and that he and the Company would benefit if he understood the front end just as masterfully so he successfully graduated with his BBA.
Now fully equipped to join his Uncle in taking the business to even higher levels. It was time!
Under James’s management, Tiem Builders remains the exclusive supplier of Four Seasons Sunrooms in the Vancouver area, as well as an Industry leader in the Outdoor and Adaptable Living Spaces.
